How does the free trial work?
Premium includes a 7-day free trial. You'll have full access to everything during the trial, and you won't be charged until day 8. Cancel anytime before then and you won't be billed.
Can I try encouple without a credit card?
Yes — the Basic plan is completely free, no credit card required. You can start a discovery path and explore guided conversations without any commitment.
What's the difference between Basic and Premium?
The Basic plan gives you core relationship insights with limited daily conversations and access to one discovery path. Premium unlocks unlimited conversations, unlimited insights, the full discovery path, and highly personalized advice.
How does the Couples plan work?
One of you subscribes and invites the other from inside the app. Once your partner accepts, both accounts are fully Premium on a single bill — $30/month, or $306/year. You each keep your own private account: neither of you can see the other's sessions, insights, or activity. Anything shared between you is shared only when you both choose to share it.
What happens to the Couples plan if we split up?
Either of you can disconnect at any time. The partner who was covered by the plan keeps Premium through the end of the period that's already paid for, then moves to the free Basic plan — they can start their own plan whenever they like. The partner who was paying keeps their plan and can switch to an individual plan any time. Your individual data stays yours in both directions.
How does billing work?
Premium is $20/month, or $204/year ($17/month) — a 15% discount — and starts with a 7-day free trial, so the first charge lands on day 8. Couples is $30/month, or $306/year ($25.50/month); it has no trial, so billing starts right away, and the one bill covers both partners.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings — no fees, no questions. Your data remains yours.
Is my data private and secure?
Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption and your conversations are never shared. Payments are securely processed by Stripe, and your personal information is handled with HIPAA-informed practices. Learn more about our security.
