How we use your data
The plain-language version. The full legal detail lives in our Privacy Policy.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email), your conversations and questionnaire responses, and basic usage data like session timestamps and device type. We don't track your browsing outside of encouple.
What it's used for
One thing: making your guidance better. Your conversations build the persistent understanding of your relationship — the patterns, history, and context — that lets encouple pick up where you left off instead of starting from scratch. Usage data helps us keep the platform fast and reliable.
What we never do
- We never sell your data or share it with data brokers.
- We never show you ads or use your conversations for advertising.
- We never train AI models on your conversations.
- We never show your partner anything you haven't explicitly chosen to share.
Your controls
Sharing with your partner is off by default and always opt-in: you set a sharing level per topic (full, just the basics, or off) and can change it anytime, and partner notes are only ever sent one at a time with your explicit approval. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@encouple.com.
