On the sign-in screen, choose "Forgot password" and enter your email — we'll send a reset link that's valid for one hour. For security, the confirmation looks the same whether or not an account exists for that address. Resetting your password signs you out of all other devices. If you signed up with Google, there's no separate password — just continue with Google.

From the Partner page in the app, get your personal invite link — share it however you like, or have us email it for you. Your partner opens the link, sees your invitation, and creates their own account (or signs in). Once they accept, you're linked as a couple and you'll both receive a confirmation email. Each partner keeps their own private account.

Upgrade from the subscription page in the app — $20/month, or $204/year ($17/month, 15% off). Premium starts with a 7-day free trial: we ask for a card up front, but nothing is charged until the trial ends, and canceling before then costs you nothing. The Couples plan is $30/month, or $306/year ($25.50/month), and covers both linked accounts on one bill — it has no trial, so billing starts right away. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.

Open Manage Subscription in the app (from your profile menu) — it takes you to the secure Stripe portal, where you can cancel, resume, or update your payment method. When you cancel, you keep Premium access through the end of your current billing period, then move to the free Basic plan. Nothing is deleted — your conversations, insights, and progress stay on your account, and you can reactivate anytime.

Basic is free forever. It includes the core experience with a daily conversation limit that resets each day; Premium removes the limit entirely.

Nothing is shared with your partner by default. On the Partner page, you choose a sharing level for each topic — full, just the basics, or off — and can change it anytime; combined insights are only built once both partners have chosen to share. Partner notes are separate: each one is written and sent individually, and nothing ever sends without your explicit approval.

In a conversation, open the session menu and choose Enter Privacy Mode. The entire session — including anything you said before enabling it — is kept out of your chat history, your summaries, and the AI's memory. Ending the session ends privacy mode, and private conversations still count toward the daily limit.

Email privacy@encouple.com from your account's email address and we'll permanently delete your conversations, insights, and account information. We retain only what we're legally required to keep, such as payment records.
